The family occupies a preferential place in psychological, sociological research and, of course, in the field of education, especially in present times. Although the crisis of the family is spoken of frequently, simultaneously the emergence of other forms of family is taking place; therefore the necessity arises to investigate the educational action in the diversity of families as well as in the personal development of each one of their members and in their social effects. In this book the questions that affect the family and their performance in educational contexts are studied: To what extent are social changes affecting the family? How does the educator face the different family structures? What does it mean today to be a parent? What type of interaction takes place among the members in different family forms: nuclear, extended, reconstituted, cohabitation, etc.? “Family and family education” is an essential book not only for educators but also for those mothers and fathers who want to enrich their family bonds.
