Israel works in a small concession of a shop set within another shop, on the ground floor of the La Vaguada shopping centre. He used to be a dreamer, a true romantic with his head in the clouds, but now, after reading a self-help book that has promised him he'll become a better person, he has adopted a fluid style of life. Prisoner of a fate that is sending him towards nihilism, Israel, like every good anti-hero, must face up to his own destruction. In a frantic, febrile, frenetic journey that seems to have been lifted from the chapter about the descent to hell from Joyce's 'Ulysses,' and which also takes place over one, crazed day, the shopping centre (mirror on all reality) becomes our modern playground, where anything can be acquired and anything can happen, in a perfect metaphor for the world.
