Prisoner of a fate that is sending him towards nihilism, Israel, like every good anti-hero, must face up to his own destruction. In a frantic, febrile, frenetic journey that seems to have been lifted from the chapter about the descent to hell from Joyce's 'Ulysses,' and which also takes place over one, crazed day, the shopping centre (mirror on all reality) becomes our modern playground, where anything can be acquired and anything can happen, in a perfect metaphor for the world.
