Lourdes Fernández

The author was born in Malaga in 1970. She graduated in Psychology from her native city's university. She currently combines her job as a writer with working for an NGO specialising in the treatment of women and children, as she has always been interested in these fields, and she gives talks and workshops on writing and promoting reading for young people.
She had never dared to publish her stories, keeping them in a drawer and giving them no further thought. This was until one day, while reading a chapter of 'Los Cinco en el Cerro de Contrabandista', an  idea came into her head, and developed into the plot for what would be her first book, 'El Club de los Detectivos Incomprendidos', (Editorial Aladena), the first of a trilogy of fantasy novels set in Malaga.
