SYNOPSIS

¿Por qué tengo que emigrar? is a book with a didactic application in various areas: Spanish Language and Literature, Social Sciences, Plastic and Visual Education, etc. From there, the proposals in this guide encourage students to search information on issues as varied as Arabic legacy in our language, traditional festivals, women in the Arabic world, emigration, magic, dress, gastronomy, music, etc.

This novel takes us closer to the reality of emigration, to the reality of the country in which the action takes place, the reality of many people who leave everything behind to try and lead a better life. In recent years, the Spanish education community has had to adapt to the new multicultural reality in the classrooms because the school is the most conducive area to promote the relations that arise between kids from varied backgrounds. With this in mind, the guide is intended so that students think and learn to live with their peers regardless of where they come from, avoiding stereotypes and prejudices and appreciating the reasons they have had to leave their country, knowing and respecting their culture.

Hafida rebels at the thought of going to Europe to live with her family. She does not want to change her village for anything else, she is certain that no other can compare.

And while at home they only speak of emigration, she looks for ways to stay there, while she wonders who she may turn to for help ... Maybe the Guardian of Traditions? Or perhaps Tahar the Sorcerer, who has a shop in the souk and sells herbs and prepares ointments against all evils?

Hafida undertakes a long journey of dreams and nightmares.
