Tina Valles was born in Barcelona in 1976 and studied Catalan Language at the Universitat de Barcelona. She is a writer, translator and proofreader. She is a coeditor of the stories website Paper de Vidre and a founder member of APTIC (the Professional Association of Translators and Interpreters in Catalonia) Considered one of the literary voices with most personality, she has written various books adults: L'aeropla del Raval, Un altre got d'absenta and El parentesi mes llarg which received the 2013 Premio Merce Rodoreda de cuentos y narraciones. She has also written stories for younger readers, including El caganer mes divertit del Nadal, in 3D, Petita historia del Palau Guell and Maic, a book which can be enjoyed by younger readers and adults alike.
