Julio Crespo
Julio Crespo was born in Madrid in 1970 and was bilingually brought up between England and Spain in a family of British origin. He graduated in Modern History at University College, Oxford in 1991 and after a brief interval studying International Relations in Paris and Madrid he was accepted at St. Antony´s College, Oxford, where he wrote a doctoral thesis and became an expert in contemporary Europe.
He recently gave up the Spanish foreign service and went back to full time academia and writing. His thesis, Spain and the process of European integration was published by Palgrave/Macmillan in 2000.
