Carme Torras
Carme Torras Genís is an IT and research professor at the Instituto de Robótica (CSICUPC). In the scientific field she has published books and articles on neuronal models, computer vision, artificial intelligence and robotics. In the literary field, her novels Pedres de toc (Columna, 2003) and Miracles perversos (Pagès Editors, 2011) were awarded the Primera Columna and Ferran Canyameres prizes. La mutació sentimental (Pagès Editors, 2008), now translated into Spanish, won the Manuel de Pedrolo prize for science fiction in 2007 and the Ictineu prize in 2009.
